Meebo for the iPhone

Meebo native app for the iPhone hits the App Store. It’s free and it’s gorgeous.

A Meebo application for the iPhone was first presented in March 2009, during Apple’s iPhone 3.0 Press Conference. I remember that day very well. One of our developers was on the stage demonstrating the app when suddenly I was there too, at least as a contact on the friends list. That made my day for several days.

Unfortunately we didn’t had much time until late summer, when I also started working on the project as creative lead and I loved it. I had to study a little bit the guidelines, work closely with the creative team and developers and do many, many mockups. Yesterday night the app has been finally released to the App Store and you can download it here for free.

I’m preparing a separate blog post where I’ll go a little bit more into detail about the design, stay tuned.

I wish Android version of the app had font size settings as fonts are so small on my Desire, and emoticons too, although iPhone version looks very well.
